I have two HSBC credit card and I settled these cards last January 27, 2010 with collection agencies namely: Domingo & Molaer Law Offices and Anonuevo Credit and Collections Services Inc. Both of these collection agencies promised me to have a Certificate of Full Payment. Today, I received only from Domingo & Molaer Law Offices wherein I have a written agreement. I'm afraid that Anonuevo Credit and Collections Services Inc. will not forward the certificate to me because they refused to have an agreement.

I hope that this week I will be able to receive that certificate. My payment will be useless if I will not be having that clearance.

New credit card laws 2010

Effective today, the banks will abide the new credit cards laws 2010. Credit card holders have now the protection against banks practices that dug them into a big debt.

What are these changes? Here are some of them:

Card companies cannot raise the interest rate in the first year an account is opened unless it has come to its end. After such, companies must notify 45 days in advance for any rate change. For the existing balances, rates cannot be raised unless the account is at least 60 days past due.

Card holders will now see on their statements how long will it take if they only pay the monthly minimum due.

Cardholders can only exceed their credit limit only after they agree to pay the over-the-limit fee.

Now, what will the expectation of the card holders from the card companies, of course they will charged higher annual fee to cover the losses upon implementation of the new credit card laws 2010.

I will not post the list of passers here because it can be seen in the PRC site and other blogs. Instead, I would like to congratulate my niece who was included in the list of passers. She thanked us by including her in our prayers.

According to the news, this batch of examiners has the lowest percentage of passers. The reason why they will monitor the schools whose graduates of nursing cannot pass the Nurse Licensure Exam.

Being in-charge in payroll preparation is a hard task to me in terms of decision making. I need to apply the company policy in vacation leave and overtime . There are times that I want to consider my co-employee but I will be responsible in the company.

This payroll period I have a problem in computation of payroll. I ask the owner of the company to consider the file of employee who rendered extra effort for the company. But the said work was done during the working hours so it was not give a consideration.

How I wish that I can please all in the company but things won't turn the way I want to be. I am under payroll I have to follow the rules and regulations of the company where i am employed now.

HSBC Credit Card Settlement

Finally, I have settled my two HSBC credit card. Of course,I borrowed the money to avail the discounted amount that HSBC offered to me by their collection agency namely:

1. Molaer
2. Lauron
3. Anonuevo

I cannot forget my experience with this credit card company with their employee. How they treat me as if I have no intention to settle my obligation. On the other hand, the Molaer added my emotional distress by charging me as a liar.

For those who are contemplating to apply for a credit card, I strongly advice you not to enter on this problem. Of course not all are having difficulties in paying their bills but if you are a minimum wage earner and can pay only the minimum monthly due, please forget about it. If you will use the credit card as your crutches, in the end you find yourself in a big trouble. Just live within your means. In addition, not all credit card companies are offering a discount like HSBC credit card offered just to close your account. I am not promoting HSBC of course, but to compare to my other credits cards where I request for a discount for interest and penalties, they are not giving even a small percentage of discount. Although I have paid more than the principal amount, still they will collect all the charges they made.

I still have other four credit cards with full balances. I am longing to settle all of this as soon as possible.

Urinary Tract Infection UTI:Hot Sitz Bath Treatment

Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is one among my health problems since 1999. The first time it happened to me was weekend and the doctor in the hospital near to us was by on-call. I suffered two days and nights with 39C fever and severe headache.

I cannot remember how many times I suffered from this illness. I always presume that my headache is due to my sinusitis. It was only last September when I told the occupational therapist what I am suffering and he asked me if I had a history of any infection. I said, yes, I have recurring Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).

The doctor will only give a request for a urinalysis after consulting and then read the result and will say that I have Urinary Tract Infection (UTI). After such, they will prescribe antibiotic to treat my infection.

This time, I tried Hot Sitz Bath and it helps me to prevent me from using antibiotic. After treating for less than five minutes, my severe headache was gone. Here’s how to do it:

Things needed:

1. One large basin-deep enough for a person to sit in.
2. One smaller basin for the foot bath.
3. One smaller basin with ice or cold water and compress.
4. One towel, long enough to go around the head.
5. A sheet or blanket for wrapping around the body.
6. One Bath towel.
7. One large kettle for boiling of water.
8. One chair or stool.

Procedure:

1. Boil water in large kettle.
2. Put the large basin on the chair or on the floor, with small amount of water, hot enough for the patient to sit in it.
3. Remove clothing, underwear and under dressings if there are any. Drape with sheet or blanket.
4. Assist the patient to sit on the basin, placing the feet in the smaller basin of hot water.
5. Apply cold compress on the forehead and gradually add hot water to the hot sits basin and the foot basin, increasing the water temperature to the patient’s tolerance. Stir the water with hand as you add hot water. Be careful not to pour hot water on the patient’s buttocks and feet.
6. Renew cold compress to the head as often as you can. Continue adding hot water for from 20 to 30 minutes.
7. At the end of the treatment, pour cold water to the hot sits bath basin. Raise the feet and pour cold water to the feet and dry well.
8. Assist the patient out of the basin and give warm shower or sponge bath.
9. Let patient rest and keep warm after treatment.

Note: Hot sits bath is best done in the bathroom for the floor is likely to get wet.

I have been using Depo Provera Injection a few weeks after giving birth to my son. I religiously visit my Obygyn every quarter for more than five years. But I missed my Depo Provera Injection last October.

I discover this problem when I to the called the clinic to ask my next schedule. It was my Obygyn who received my call telling me that I have not visited them for a long time. I stunned upon hearing her statement, I must be pregnant. She was not able to give my schedule because it’s already late and her assistants were all gone.

I stayed calm until Friday morning, trying to comfort myself that my Obygyn must have been wrong. But she was right, her assistant confirmed that I have been there last July and I missed the October 9 schedule.

The clinic assistant advised me to visit last Friday to consult my Obygyn regarding my problem. Finally, my Obygyn gave me until Friday to test me if I'm already pregnant. If ever, monthly period will come earlier than Friday I can visit her right away.

My husband does not want to another baby, trying to blame me for what is happening. He said me that, I am the one who knows my schedule. I said I really don't know what happened, it was the first time for more than five years that I forgot my schedule. I thought, I have been there and I only misplaced my next schedule.

However, my son wants a baby but I am not ready for the moment. As of the moment, I afraid that I am pregnant, I am not ready. I hope that my worries will vanished and that I am not pregnant. I have a financial problem. I don't want that the baby will suffer from it.

I have new friend who is married to a Philippine Marine who wants to have a child. She stop in her work and stayed in Palawan wherein his husband was assigned for one year. Both of them consulted the Ob-gyne and undergo medication, but still they have no child for five years of being married.

I f you have six credit cards and making a minimum payment every month, I’m sure you will get into a heavy debt like me. Because of the high interest rates imposed by the banks, a little amount of my payment goes to principal.

I tried to look some help on internet how to settle my debts. The best way is to consolidate credit card debt for a lower payment at lower interest rates monthly. I will pay only one bill every month because I placed my debts into one company.

But it’s a sad thing to know that I’m living in a country that Consolidation Company is not available. The only offered here is balance transfer for lower interest rates. A Very Memorable Night

Tonight was A Very Memorable Night in the family. My mother was in the Manila Doctors Hospital waiting for me to arrive. I rushed after the office hour with my co-employee because I don’t know to go there alone. It was the only night wherein I left my son since his birth.

My mother came to our house on the 27th day February 2004 a day after I gave birth to my son with my father and older brother. It was eight months after my father has been operated twice at the Manila Sanitarium Hospital. Her eyes and skin were yellowish. My brother and I were hoping she had only hepatitis.
The following day they went to the Manila Doctors Hospital to diagnose her. The doctor declared that she has a Pancreatic Cancer and she can live three more months longer. It was the most painful experience I ever had. My mother will die soon.

The family decided to let her undergo to by-pass operation. But she needs to be hospitalized from time to time. If times needed her to go Manila, my brother brought her from Calapan City in an Ambulance he borrowed from the hospital where he works. Every time she confined in Manila she will always stay with us to rest before they travelled to Mindoro. I witnessed her suffering but still she hides to us whenever she feels the pain. She will go inside the room and lay down faced on the wall.

Day after day, I’m afraid to receive any call from the family. I don’t want to hear any news that my mother was gone. Then came July 6, 2004, they brought her at the Manila Doctors Hospital. This time she can no longer stay in my house after her confinement. She wants us to visit her at the hospital for she has many things to say in us. My father and two older brothers were there in the room. My aunts and cousins resides near was all there. This was the first time they all present there.

Thank God, I was able to talk to her. She expressed her will clearly to me to take good care of my son. After my conversation with her I talk to our relative but I always go to her bed. I was standing beside her bed in the ward room with one of my cousin when suddenly she looked straight in absence and finally lost her breath. The doctors revived her before my other older brother came with the money he borrowed for the hospitalization.

My mother still alive in the help of the machines until the following day but we can no longer talk to her. At around 10 o’clock am of July 7, 2004, the doctor declared her dead. I helped my brother to process the billing then we escort the hospital attendant as they brought her body in the morgue room. After that, I bid goodbye to go home to prepare our things to my father who was very sad outside the hospital building. He was now alone, how lonely his life would be. I witnessed how they lived happily in spite of scarcity. My mother was now gone.

My Son is Still Sick

Hanggang ngayon umaga may fever pa rin si Vinzen. Kagabi bumili na ko ng gamot sa ubo kasi inuubo na rin sya. Mula pa ng Friday sya may sakit. Malayo na kasi kami dun sa Pedia nya. Sabi nya paggising kanina, punta na lang kami sa doctor huwag lang sa malayo.

Naiisip ko tuloy, baka meron sa pilay na naman. Problema, wala naman dito hilot sa aming nilipatan na village. Di ko alam kung saan meron. Mula kasi nung maliit sya, pag meron sya sipon, ubo at lagnat pinahihilot ko muna sya. Tapos obserbahan ko ng two days, kapag di nawala ang lagnat dadalhin ko na sa kanyang Pedia.

Madalas, nawawala lagnat nya at tuluyan na syang gumagaling kung meron sya pilay. Pag dinala ko kasi sya sa kanyang Pedia lagi syang meron antibiotic. Kaya kung gagaling sya sa hilot ni "Mang Ambo" or "Kuya Boy" or "Michael" di ko na lang muna sya dinadala kay doktora. Hindi dahil sa ayaw ko ng gastos, kundi ayaw ko sya na laging naka-antibiotic.

Dalawang gabi na akong puyat kasi tinamaan ng sipon ang aking anak. Iyak siya ng iyak kapag gabi kasi di siya makahinga.

Buhat ng lumipat kami ng bahay, ngayon lang uli siya nagkasakit. Meron din siya lagnat, kaya pinainom ko siya ng paracetamol.

Wala akong piniinom na gamot sa kanya sa sipon. Wala naman kasi gamot para matunaw ang sipon. Pinaiinom ko lang siya ng tubig. Steam inhalation sana, kaso ayaw naman nun kasi mainit.

Tatay 79th Birthday

Ngayon ay 79th Birthday ni Tatay. Natatandaan ko pa yung huling pagbati ko sa kanya. Nagalit s'ya at ang sabi sa akin, "Gusto kong gumaling ang iyong Ina". Ang sagot ko naman, "Hindi ako Dios para mapagaling si Inay".

Ng panahong iyon ay kasalukuyang may malubhang sakit si Inay. Mayroon syang Pancreatic Canser at dalawang buwan na lang ang taning ng doctor sa buhay nya.

Sa ngayon ay nag-iisa na si Tatay sa aming bahay. Alam kong malungkot sya at maraming karamdaman. Kahit malayo ako sa kanya ay hindi ko pa rin nakakalimutan ang mahalagang kaarawan sa buhay nya.

Papunta ako sa office galing sa aming quarter may napansin akong balat ng saging sa may pathway. Naisip ko agad na aking anak ang nagtapaon dun. Kaya ginawa ko, bumalik ako sa aming quarter at sinundo ko ang sya. Dinala ko sya dun sa balat ng saging at umanin sya na sya nga ang nagtapon. Kaya pinapulot ko sa kanya at sinamahan ko sya dun sa tapunan ng basura.

Pagkatapos, umuwi kami muli sa aming quarter. Pagbalik ko meron akong nakita na lalaki na nagbubukas ng pakete ng kanyang sigarilyo. Ang masaklap, dun lang sa tabi ng pathway nya itinapon ang basura mya. Gusto ko sana pagsabihan, pero di ako yung right person na magsabi sa kanya.

Sa loob ng 20 taon buhat ng una akong sumakay ng barko mula sa amin ay napalaki ng naging pagbabago. Kasabay ng mga pagbabago na ito ay ang dagdag gatusin ng mga pasahero.

Wala akong puna sa kagandahan ng port ngayon. Sa pagkakaroon lang ng terminal fee ako di nasisiyahan. Ang aking anak na limang taon ay obligado na aking kunan ng terminal ticket sa halagang P10.00. Ano ba ang P10.00 kung iisipin, ang problema pinagpawisan ang aking anak kasi ang laki ng terminal pero lahat ng aircon ay di gumgana. Meron lang ilang electric fan na gumagana at hindi sapat sa lahat ng nasa loob ng terminal.

Marami ngayong sakit ang mga tao dahilan mga kinakain. Tulad na lang ng “swine flu” ngayon na kinatatakutan. Ilan sa mga kasama ko ay di na bumibli kasi natatakot, yung iba naman sige lang ang bili kasi ang dahilan nila ay walang iba na mabili sa carinderia.

Kahit walang swine flu di pa rin dapat kainin ang karne ng baboy dahil sa ito ay pinagmumulan ng maraming sakit. Naalala ko yung sabi sa akin ng auntie ng husband ko, “Di ka kasi kumakain ng karne kaya ka payat”. Kumakain naman ako pero talagang bihira lang. Mahina kasi ang panunaw ko sa mga karne. At alam kong di ko kailangan ang kumain ng karne upang magkaroon ng sapat na protina ang aking katawan. P wede makuha iyon sa ibang pagkain tulad ng legumes. Hindi ko kailangan maging mataba. Aang mahalaga ay wala akong sakit.

Sa panahong ito higit natin kailangan na bumalik sa original diet na design sa tao. Mahirap ang buhay ngayon kaya ang pagkain ng fruits, nuts, and vegetables ang solution upang makaiwas sa sakit.

Ngayong araw na ito ako na ang nag reformat ng computer ko. Tinuruan ako ng kasama ko dito sa opisina. matagal ko na gusto matuto mag reformat kasi nahihiya na ako sa gumagawa dito sa office namin kasi lagi akong may virus.

Pagkatapos kong malaman ngayon ang paggawa, pakiramdam ko di na ako natatakot na masira ang computer ko. Kahit pa mapaglaruan ng anak ko, walang problema kasi ako na ang mag reformat anytime. Thanks sa nagturo sa akin at sa kasama kong palagi ng nag reformat ng computer ko.

Ang hirap ng pakiramdam ng may sinusitis na katulad ko. Ang totoo nyan ako nagpapa-suction na ako sa ENT ko. Lahat ng malaman ko na na herbal na pwede makatulong sa sinusitis ko aking iniinom. Ang inayawan ko lang at di na ako uli iinom ay yung katas ng malunggay. Sobra ang init ng pakiramdam ko sa katawan at di ako makatylog.

Ito pa ang problema ko, kasi kapag sumasakit ang ulo ko talagang nagsusuka ako kaya pinaiinom ako ng aking ENT ng Mefenamic Acid. Pero sabi ng mga kapatid ko masama daw sa kidney kaya nag consult ako sa Kidney Specialist at tama nga ang sabi ng aking mga kapatid. Dapat once or twice lang a week ang pag take ko ng gamot na yun.

Almost three weeks na sinunod ko yung advice ng friend ko na luya lang ang igamot ko. Gawin ko salabat pero walang sugar. At totoo nga, buhat ng ako ay uminom ng salabat di pa ako umiinom ng gamot. Kapag umaga di na mabigat ang pakiramdam ko. Wala na yung barado sa aking mga sinuses. Try nyo rin.

Kahapon napalo ng aking husband ang aming anak kasi nandudura daw. Naalala ko tuloy nung huli at una kong palo na natatandaan sa aking tatay nung second year high school na ako. Bayaw ko ang may kasalanan kaya lang di pwedeng sya ang paluin.

Ipinaalala ko sa husband ko ang usapan namin na di kami mamamalo ng aming anak. Pero sabi nya sa akin papaluin na na nya ang aming anak kasi sumusobra na. Minsan kasi napapalo ko rin ng aking kamay sa puwet pero di gasino masakit yun compare sa sinturon na ginamit nya.

Hindi nya pinapansin ang bata kahit kinakausap sya. Dapat kinausap nya ang bata pagkatapos nya paluin para ipaliwanag ang mali na ginawa nya. Tapos di nya dapat pinalo ang bata ng galit sya kasi malakas ang hit ng palo pag galit ang tao. Nasa office kasi ako ng mangyari iyon. Di ko maiwasan ang maiyak kagabi kasi kahit asawa ko pa ang pumalo sa aming anak di ko tanggap bilang mother ng bata na may sasakit sa aking anak.

Para sa akin di dapat paluin ang bata, lalong lalo na kung galit ka. Ang tutuo wala naman sa bata ang problema kundi nasa atin na matanda. Madalas di natin sila iniintindi. Katulad ko kapag narito sa office (company quarter) ang anak ko lagi ko pinagagalitan. Mula ngayon sisikapin ko na disiplinahin ang aking anak ng di ako nagagalit at di nilalapatan ng kamay upang saktan sya kahitkuro lang.

Having Another Child

Halos lahat ng mga kakilala namin ay nagsasabi na sundan na namin ang aming anak. Mahirap ang isa lng ang anak walang kalaro. Subalit ang aking asawa ay ayaw ng dagdagan pa ang aming anak hindi nya daw kayang buhayin.

Hanggang ngayon kasi ay lubog pa kami sa utang sa credit card. Tapos both parents namin ay nagkasakit. Tama lang kasi para sa kasama sa bahay ang kinikita husband ko.

Naiisip ko rin ang hirap bago ko mapalaki ang aking anak. Pag-uwi ko kasi galing sa work ako ang nag-aasikaso ng aking anak. Iniisip ko rin kung paano ko hahatiin yung attention ko sa kanila. Ayaw ko kasi na meron favorite.

If ever na susundan pa namin an gaming anak dapat magdecide kami until next year kasi 39 years old na ako ngayon. Syempre panibagong puyat at charges sa credit para sa gatas at diaper.

Long Planned Blogging

Alam nyo ang tagal ko ng gusto na gumawa ng blog. Siguro sobra ng isang taon ang nakakalipas. Bakit nga di ako makagawa.

Ganito yun. Isa lng ang aking problema. Yun ay di ako maruning magsulat sa inlges ng walang taga-edit. Ang dami kong gusto isulat di ko magawa. Matagal na akong sinabihan ng aking office mate na dalawa ang gawin ko na blog isa sa ingles at isa sa tagalog. Yung content isa lng itranslate ko lng sa ingles.

Sa kagustuhan ko na gumawa ng blog nagsimula akong magreview ng grammar. Ang problema di ko na rin masyado madigest kasi may work ako at wala akong kasama sa bahay para mag-asikaso sa aking anak.

Today, I decided na gumawa ng blog sa paraan na kaya ko. Napakarami ang nais kong ibahagi at later on, gagawa rin ako ng blog sa inlges kapag kaya ko ng walang editor.
